I have no problem with people coming to The Greatest Country on Earth to seek better lives for themselves ("legally" or not, ie by dealing with the ridiculous immigration bureaucracy put in place by Democrats), but I do have a problem with them coming here and committing crimes.

I just wanted to take the time to point out how reasonable this is and I feel like this is something that is just so common sense that both the left and the right shouldn't even have to debate it. But alas...

Anyway, if this is considered a tax, this has to be one of the most regressive taxes ever, right? I mean, the wealthy and even the moderately wealthy no doubt already have insurance and are thus exempt. The arguments here are huge, so admittedly I'm not done reading all of it yet.

I'm going to need a source for that. I know there are plenty of people that abuse the system, but I have a hard time believing that 70% of people that are on food stamps abuse the system and chronically buy alcohol, cigarettes, and scratch tickets.

And I have no problem with the soda tax. I feel like if soda is your primary source of liquid, you most likely have other serious problems. While I can definitely see how it would affect the impoverished far more than the wealthy, I don't classify soda as something someone needs to live. Any argument made for stopping a soda tax would seem to me to be better applied to removing any existing tax on bottled water, especially in areas where tap water is undrinkable.

It is worth noting that those that have a degree is psychology and are working at McDonalds most likely deserve to be there.

Psychology is an extremely competitive field and almost all of the good jobs require advanced degrees, a lot of work, and a high level of intellect. Those that stopped after getting just their Bachelors most likely either:
A) Were not good enough in comparison to their peers
B) Lacked the motivation to do the extra five+ years of training required to get into the field
C) Were never really serious about their area of study

I'm sure the other areas listed are like that too, but I know that is true for psychology because I have a lot of friends in that field. It isn't that their time was necessarily a waste or anything like that, but instead that those who were competing against them in the same field are just better than they are. It might be a little sad for the individual if they feel like they've wasted those years of their life, but to change the system somehow would just be rewarding mediocrity. Those that are good in psychology get good jobs in psychology. Those that aren't end up working in other fields (and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that).

I yearn for the day that Wade gets called out for playing like s*** like he has been. People keep jumping on LeBron because he's "choking" while having a supposed top 5-10 player as his #2, but he keeps playing like garbage and no one says a word.

To me, this has been the more significant story of the post season for the Heat. LeBron has turned in great performance after great performance, while Wade has been average at best. Today, he was awful. He is by far more to blame for the loss than James. The whole concept of a big three doesn't work when one of your guys plays like him.

Still, there are six games left and the Heat are hardly out of it. Everyone can jump back on the "Heat choked" bandwagon if and only if they end up losing.

This is the series everyone wanted and Game 1 showed why.

Miami has perhaps been the best team in the playoffs in adapting to their opponents strengths, so I have to assume they do something about the scoring champion getting so many open looks in game 2. LeBron on him all game? I think that'd be one way to combat it.

Bosh back at full strength, LeBron going crazy, and Wade showing up in at least the second half to make sure nobody gets any crazy ideas of trying to make a game out of things. Thunder are just too young to combat all of this experience.

In all honesty though, I'm a little worried that the Heat might not pull this off. I still feel like they have a shot, especially if they can beat Boston at home (I can't see them losing game 7), but this is worrisome.

Still, James played really well today but the Heat need someone else besides Wade and James to score occasionally.

What sort of time commitment are you looking for? How many articles per month is what I guess I'm asking. Will you be assigning stuff or would the writers get to pick? Kobe would have LITERALLY legally changed his name to Rocko Strongarm between the fourth quarter and overtime to get his number of fouls set back to zero. Rocko Strongarm would have had 25 points, 10 boards, and 5 assists (two of which strangely went to Kobe Bryant) in the OT alone.

Well, the officiating was terrible, but that was still a good game to watch. I had assumed Miami would just run them over, but at least this series is going to six. I think Miami will win the next two, with the next game being a blowout.

The Heat and their fans have no right to complain about bad fouls, but the officiating was horrible today. Three of those fouls on LeBron were just terrible.

I don't even remember how it happened, but it went from me actively rooting against the Heat last year, to actively rooting for them this year (after the Bulls were bounced).

I think it is primarily because I think the LeBron hate has become absurdly ridiculous, and I would like the haters to just shut up, but at this point I think it would take LeBron getting fifty points, twenty rebounds, and ten assists in game seven of the finals while also dunking the ball as time expired to win the game in double overtime with a broken leg.
